What is happening with the OTHER Adventure Time RPG announced last year using the Yes/And system?

It’s still being developed! We have been hard at work on two Adventure Time RPGs: the 5E one (this Kickstarter) and the Yes/And game (that one developed in collaboration with Forever Stoked). The 5E game has been planned from the start because it goes back to the very roots of Adventure Time itself, which was inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, and lets you create your own characters in the Land of Ooo. (After we announced the Adventure Time RPG last year, we received a LOT of feedback asking about a 5E experience.) We had planned for the Yes/And game to come first, but it needed more development time and licensor approvals. It will offer a very different experience; we’ll make more announcements about it in the near future.

Why is shipping so expensive?

Some of the items are heavy. We are doing our best to charge you only what it costs to ship you your items.

Do I have to pay VAT?

If we import your rewards into the UK and EU, we will have to pay a VAT (value-added tax) based on the value of the product (i.e., the sales price). The percentage is based on the specific country we are importing to and will be charged as a tax when checking out in BackerKit’s pledge manager.

Will there be a pledge manager/survey? Do I need to complete it?

Yes, if you pledge, a short time after the campaign you will be invited to a survey powered by Backerkit that will allow you to provide your shipping information, upgrade your tier, choose additional add-ons, and pay for shipping. You NEED to complete your survey; otherwise, we won’t even have an address to ship your rewards.

Can I get multiple copies of the different rewards?

Yes, you can choose most items and tiers as add-ons if you would like more than one. You can do this on Kickstarter or after the campaign in the pledge manager powered by BackerKit. If you do it during the campaign, you can help unlock stretch goals!

How do I order the add-ons shown on the Kickstarter page?

After you pledge to a tier, you will have the option of choosing add-ons on Kickstarter. You can get any of the items listed as add-ons AND additional quantities of any of the tiers. Also, after the campaign, there will be a pledge manager that will allow you to choose more add-ons or adjust the quantity on the ones you ordered.

Can I get ONLY add-ons?

You can pledge without a reward, add funds to cover the add-ons you want, and then choose the specific add-ons in the pledge manager.

If I pledge a $1, will I gain access to the pledge manager?

Yes, if you pledge $1, you will be invited to the pledge manager, where you’ll be able to upgrade to any pledge tier or just choose add-ons.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
