Core Book Sample Photos and Video!

Adventure Time fans,

As we mentioned last time, we have been eagerly awaiting factory samples to start arriving and we are thrilled to announce they have FINALLY started arriving. The factory typically sends us digitally printed samples of everything for comments. We look at them super closely and note any issues. They then make updates and either send us a video of the fixes or (if it’s a significant change) a new sample.

Today, we have a sample of the biggest, most important item in the entire campaign… the Core Book! This book has been years in the making and is the product of so much love from our team, the licensor, and the fans (like you) who made it possible. Before we share some images, we’ll note a couple things: The cover in the digitally printed version is not foil but the final version will be foil. Also, there was a discrepancy between our print files for the cover and the final printed dimensions so the cover art extends too far to the right (with some mirroring/extending happening on the right side); we will get that fixed.

Updated Dice Samples and More Samples Coming Soon!

Hey Adventure Time fans! 

In our last update, we mentioned that we had everything off to print, and since then the factory has sent us TONS of eproofs to approve. We slapped them out of their hands with our  “Good to go!” stamp (except for a couple cases where there were some tweaks to make) and production has started on the printed materials! 

We are eagerly awaiting physical book samples so we can share them with you all, but we didn’t want to leave you hanging so we brought some more goodies to show and tell today!

Those cool dice samples we said would be showing up? They did show up, but we had some issues with the legibility of some colors on a table as well as the sps (sparkles per speck) ratio on some of them. We went back to the factory with our concerns and they slammed these bad mamma-jammas into our sweaty mitts not long after. We didn’t get enough of the new D6s so you may notice some size inconsistencies in the numbers, but rest assured they will be uniform in size.

We are extremely pleased with how these came out, and we think you all will be very happy to have these bones rolling on your tables.

We will keep bothering our mail person (who really wanted to be a milk person in life) as we wait for more physical samples, and will share those with you once we have them!  

Once we get all the samples and approve them, we will have a much better sense of manufacturing and fulfillment timeline.

At Last… Off to Print We Go!

Adventure Time fans,

After years of work and tons of writing, art, licensor approvals, editing, playtesting, and much more, we have gone to print on Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game!

We did it!!! And by “we,” we mean everyone involved in the game… including YOU! 

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and support throughout this process. We are super proud that we took no shortcuts and made sure everything was as good as we could make it, but the process would have been so much rougher if we didn’t have you all pushing us along and being understanding for all these months. THANK YOU!

We can finally exhale! Well, at least for a minute.

What’s next? We expect new dice samples very soon, so we will share photos of those. And now that files have been delivered, we are going to work with the factory to get a better sense of when manufacturing will start and finish, so we can keep you updated.

A Bigger Adventure… Almost Done!

Adventure Time fans,

Excuse our silence! We have been heads down working to finish Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game. Thank you, as always, for being patient as we try to make this project amazing. We cannot even come close to measuring the combined hours of time that have been put into working on this game and making sure it gets to the finish line as good as it can be. We’re proud of our team for never saying “That’s good enough!” even when they could have. The mindset has always been “How do we make it just a little better?” Our guiding light has been, well, you… the fans who have been waiting for so long. We cannot let you down.

The latest news is that everything but the Adventure Book is locked in. This includes the Core Book, which ended up being 304 pages. Very late in the process, we added something really, really fun for fans who want to take that extra step and be immortalized in Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game history. More on that later.

The final part of the project, the Adventure Book, is close to the finish line. We did a massive editing pass as a team once the layout was finished and approved by licensor. Now the team is doing final proofing. We know the book was supposed to be 200 pages, but given how long you waited, we wanted to give you something extra. It’s now a robust 240 pages of adventures in the Land of Ooo. It’s so chock-full of little details and love for Adventure Time that we can’t wait for you to see it.

We can tell you March is the month. We WILL be going to print this month. When we do, we will let you know. We can all share some high fives and think about the journey we’ve been on and get ready to have some incredible Adventure Time books and rewards in our hands later this year.

The Year of Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game

Adventure Time fans,

Happy New Year! We are excited that 2026 is the year that you’ll finally get your Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game rewards! You have been the most amazingly patient and supportive backers, so we are so excited that we’ll finally be able deliver something that we (optimistically) think was worth waiting for... later this year.

Let’s do a summary of where we’re at right now: 

• All non-book rewards are totally approved by the licensor and all set to go to print! We are prioritizing getting the dice totally finalized even while we wait for everything else to be finished (our samples way back when were amazing, but needed some minor adjustments).
• Jake's Shmowzow Guide to Roleplaying Games: We have totally finalized this book (now 72 pages). It’s good to go!
• Core Book: Based on final playtests and readthroughs, we made several minor notes and the updates are being worked on by our graphic design team. After those updates are done, several members of our team are going to do final read-throughs and there will be one last round of adjustments. We fully expect to wrap it up in January.
• Adventure Book: Our various readers are finishing their read-throughs and notes by sometime next week. The feedback has been amazingly positive so far, but we expect some minor adjustments. There is also still one outstanding licensor approval on this book. We expect it to be finalized in February.

So, the whole project should be wrapped and off to the printer by the end of February, at which point we’ll be able to dial in the fulfillment date. We feel like we are finally very close to finalizing, and we are so thrilled to finally get these books into your hands.
