A Bigger Adventure… Almost Done!
24 days ago – Tue, Mar 10, 2026 at 09:16:54 AM

Adventure Time fans,

Excuse our silence! We have been heads down working to finish Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game. Thank you, as always, for being patient as we try to make this project amazing. We cannot even come close to measuring the combined hours of time that have been put into working on this game and making sure it gets to the finish line as good as it can be. We’re proud of our team for never saying “That’s good enough!” even when they could have. The mindset has always been “How do we make it just a little better?” Our guiding light has been, well, you… the fans who have been waiting for so long. We cannot let you down.

The latest news is that everything but the Adventure Book is locked in. This includes the Core Book, which ended up being 304 pages. Very late in the process, we added something really, really fun for fans who want to take that extra step and be immortalized in Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game history. More on that later.

The final part of the project, the Adventure Book, is close to the finish line. We did a massive editing pass as a team once the layout was finished and approved by licensor. Now the team is doing final proofing. We know the book was supposed to be 200 pages, but given how long you waited, we wanted to give you something extra. It’s now a robust 240 pages of adventures in the Land of Ooo. It’s so chock-full of little details and love for Adventure Time that we can’t wait for you to see it.

We can tell you March is the month. We WILL be going to print this month. When we do, we will let you know. We can all share some high fives and think about the journey we’ve been on and get ready to have some incredible Adventure Time books and rewards in our hands later this year.

Before we go, we have some looks at the Adventure Book!

The Year of Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game
3 months ago – Thu, Jan 15, 2026 at 10:49:42 AM

Adventure Time fans,

Happy New Year! We are excited that 2026 is the year that you’ll finally get your Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game rewards! You have been the most amazingly patient and supportive backers, so we are so excited that we’ll finally be able deliver something that we (optimistically) think was worth waiting for... later this year.

Let’s do a summary of where we’re at right now:

  • All non-book rewards are totally approved by the licensor and all set to go to print! We are prioritizing getting the dice totally finalized even while we wait for everything else to be finished (our samples way back when were amazing, but needed some minor adjustments).
  • Jake's Shmowzow Guide to Roleplaying Games: We have totally finalized this book (now 72 pages). It’s good to go!
  • Core Book: Based on final playtests and readthroughs, we made several minor notes and the updates are being worked on by our graphic design team. After those updates are done, several members of our team are going to do final read-throughs and there will be one last round of adjustments. We fully expect to wrap it up in January.
  • Adventure Book: Our various readers are finishing their read-throughs and notes by sometime next week. The feedback has been amazingly positive so far, but we expect some minor adjustments. There is also still one outstanding licensor approval on this book. We expect it to be finalized in February.

So, the whole project should be wrapped and off to the printer by the end of February, at which point we’ll be able to dial in the fulfillment date. We feel like we are finally very close to finalizing, and we are so thrilled to finally get these books into your hands.

Before we go, we’d like to share some more pages from the Core Book!

The End Is in Sight
4 months ago – Thu, Dec 11, 2025 at 04:45:29 PM

Adventure Time fans,

It’s near the end! Of the year? Yes. Of the world? Well, we hope not (though we do love that song). But what we’re really talking about is finalizing Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game so we can get files to the factory and get you your books, dice, and other rewards as soon as humanly possible.

Have we told you lately how much we appreciate your patience? We sincerely do and we take your faith in us delivering an amazing final product super seriously.

Let’s do a rundown of where we’re at.

First of all, all non-book rewards are totally done and approved by the licensor!

For the three books (Intro Book, Core Book, Adventure Book): We finished several finals playtests of the game by various groups of players (internal and external). The overall take was that the game is awesome! (Thank goodness!) We did, however, get some minor notes and we are doing some fine-tuning on everything.

Jake's Shmowzow Guide to Roleplaying Games has gone through several rounds of tweaks and we expect it to be finalized next week. The big news is we’ve added 8 more pages (it’s now 72 pages) to flesh out some of the introductory information about how to play a 5E game.

The Core Book is up next. We are still compiling some notes, but we expect to have that wrapped by the end of January.

Finally, the Adventure Book is waiting on a final licensor approval and some last notes from our playtesters. We expect to be finished with that (and the entire project) in February. At that point, we can give you a better timeline of when we think manufacturing will finish and fulfillment will begin. Not far off now!

Since Jake’s Guide is on our minds, we thought we’d share some more images from the book.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Game on Kickstarter Now!

We hesitate to promote a different Kickstarter while we work to deliver this one, but we've had a surprisingly large number of Adventure Time backers join our Kickstarter for Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Game. Our amazing artist Robb Mommaerts, who did all the original art for the Adventure Time RPG, also did the art for this game. So if any of the rest of you are interested, that campaign is running until December 23… just CLICK HERE!

Closing in… Final Stretch!
5 months ago – Fri, Nov 07, 2025 at 06:29:00 PM

Adventure Time fans,

We hope everyone is having a great November! Since we last wrote to you, all the Random Encounter cards have been approved by the licensor and most of the Adventure Book! There are a few Adventure Book chapters and some packaging for the cards that we are waiting for the licensor to approve, then we are done.

We are going to be doing some final playtesting later this month and into December to capitalize on the time waiting for approvals. We are close! We hate delays, but they have been in service of making a better product and, thankfully, we have a licensor that cares as much about the final product as we do. Once we deliver everything to the factory, we’ll be able to get you a better ETA. Thank you so much for your patience.

While we have you here, we have some images to share. Check out some Adventure Book pages, the cover of the Character Sheet Pack (the cover is a late addition), and some Adventure Twist cards!

Random Encounters and a Giant Lava Monster
6 months ago – Fri, Oct 03, 2025 at 02:25:43 PM

Adventure Time fans,

We keep chugging along! We have now submitted all Adventure Book pages for approval to the licensor except for Prismo’s Time Room Adventure (which should be finished next week). The Random Encounter cards are also finished and have been submitted. While we wait for comments and approvals, we are busy proofreading and making tweaks on all the books. And we’ll do some final playtesting next month to make sure everything is working the way it should.

Thanks, as always, for being patient! We are so thrilled at how everything is looking. The upside of the delays has been that we have had the time to add even more love to every component… more art, more icons, cooler layouts. It will be worth it!

Before we go: We have some Adventure Book pages and Random Encounter cards… including the first look at the back of the cards!
